Avondale operates the UK’s largest fleet of unique purpose built Mercedes Benz Unimogs. Heavily modified using Avondale’s 20 years industry experience it is designed specifically to mechanise the control of vegetation on a wide range of terrains and sites including the rail infrastructure.

The Unimog is a self-contained, versatile, ‘go anywhere’ power unit operating a range of professional attachments; many designed and developed in-house. These are fitted to the front, mid and rear of the vehicle and powered directly by the front or rear PTO (Power Take Off), high pressure air or hydraulic systems or a combination.
