New Memorial Garden Officially Opened
The mayor of Medway officially opened the Cheryl Pocock Strood Community Memorial Garden. The garden was created by the Strood South community group with the help of Avondale staff, Darren Toms, and equipment also provided by Avondale.

The garden allows people who are unable to travel to Medway crematorium to pay respect to their lost loved ones.
Abbots Ripton de-vegetation
Avondale were awarded the contract to carry out de-vegetation works on behalf of May Gurney, prior to construction works commencing.
The site consisted of approximately 200 yards of heavy vegetation, 15 large trees and 25 medium sized trees. In order to keep costs to minimum, an ambitious decision was made to conduct operations in a single weekend shift using a slightly larger workforce.
The team worked extremely hard and the site was finished ahead of schedule even with the inclusion of some additional work.
