Demonstration day Thursday 5 June
The day began with the unmistakable rumble of a Rolls Royce Merlin engine in the distance building to a crescendo as a spitfire made a low level pass over the display ground. The excitement continued throughout the day with demonstrations of:
- RM70 tracked flail / mulcher
- Unimog mounted freezone cutter
- Unimog mounted flails/ spray train and people carrier
- Kubota L5440 cut and collect mower
- Wood chippers from six to ten inch
- Vacuum unit
- On / off track mobile elevated work platform ( cherry picker )
We concluded with a first class buffet lunch and tour of this historic ancient monument. Needless to say, we did not demonstrate the 25 pounder Howitzer field gun.
